Christmas Card Preview.

Here are a few shots of the time I spent attempting to get a decent picture of both of the girls together for our Christmas card. I got the best one I could. But Laila is getting so much better at smiling and posing. Emmie wasn't too smiley, but really. Will both of them ever cooperate at the same time? ha! I was expecting to have to get a good one of each then just collage it together, but I did get a really cute one. The ones I put on the Christmas card aren't on here. I need to give you a little bit of a surprise.

We heart disney!

We were very blessed to go to Disney twice in a couple months. Our first trip Laila and I went with my mom and sister while daddy stayed home with Emms. We had such a fun time and stayed at Caribe Royale. Here are some pictures from our trip...

Our second time at Disney was with Jason's family. Emmie came with us this time. We celebrated Jason's 30th birthday at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas party, spent time at Downtown Disney, and then Hollywood Studios. Jason and I went resort hopping and enjoyed drinks and dessert on top of the Contemporary Resort while watching the fireworks and Magic Kingdom from the most perfect view ever! Here are some pictures from our second trip...

I realized how much I miss having annual passes to disney and how enjoyable it is, especially with having kids. It really is the most magical place on earth!

6 months!

Wow! A half a year old already. It seems like forever ago since Emelia was born, but time has also flown by. This age is so much fun. She copies everything you do and is almost sitting up on her own. She has the cutest little giggle and a smile that makes your day. Bless her sweet little heart.

Happy Halloween!

This Halloween was super fun! I knew it would be considering Laila loves candy and seemed to be interested in everything Halloween. I procrastinated once again with their costumes but managed to put something so cute together for the both of them. I had no clue what to make Emms since she isn't totally sitting up yet and it was her first halloween. I made both the girls costumes for $10. I decided to make Emmie a little red "Emmienem" and Laila her little candy monster. Laila originally was going to be the yellow m&m, but I wasn't too thrilled with how it looked on her. So I made a clip, recycled a tutu I had made for her last year and stuck some candy wrappers all over it. Her shirt was a gift from her wonderful aunt. They were both a big hit. Emmie passed out before the trick or treating even began and I was a little worried about Laila since she didn't have a nap that day. But she was too busy saying "Trick or Treat, thank you, Happy Halloween" to realize how tired she was. Laila, or should I say mommy and daddy, got a bag full of chocolaty goodies. We had a great time as always! The Little's always make Halloween a fun time!

October in NY.

My sister, the girls, and I escaped to New York to visit some family. We met my mom and spent a week at my Aunt Nancy's house. Just relaxing and enjoying the fall weather. This was Emmie's first plane ride and Laila's third. I was extremely nervous traveling with two kids this time. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Laila loved the plane, minus the taking off and landing part, she was a little scared. Emms barely cried and both of them slept a lot of the way. We didn't do much except hung out with family and watched the kiddies play. Here are some pictures from our trip.
First night...s'mores...wasn't too cold but tasted really yummy!

5 months has past.

Emms is sprouting like a little weed. She has hit her 5 month mark and has experienced a lot of new milestones this past month. She finally got the hang of spoon feeding and is almost to holding her own bottle. New sounds come out of her mouth everyday. She makes the kissy face and kissy noise as well as some interesting farting sounds. The walker puts a lot of miles on it throughout the day. She goes all over the place. We are working on the crawling and sitting up...I'm thinking by next month she could quit possibly be there. No teeth yet, but she is constantly sucking on her hands...and thumb...yes, she is sucking her thumb. Laila didn't do that at all so it should be interesting as she gets older trying to break Emmie of that habit. Emmie already had her first airplane ride (will share about our trip in another post). I was looking back at pictures of the day she was born and can not believe how old she is already. This is such a fun time!

MIA.

Yes...I fell off the face of the earth for a couple months. But hopefully things are getting back to the norm. The summer flew by and I have been very busy. The girls keep me preoccupied and too busy to even blog anymore. Life threw a lot of curve balls at us shortly after Emms was born.

Emmie is now almost 4 months old. She has been rolling over, holding her head up all by herself, and has been eating off the spoon somewhat for the past couple days. I swear she is ready to skip the crawling and go straight to walking. She loves her bouncy seat and when she is being held she moves her legs one in front of the other. She is already scooting her way around the house in her walker. The best of all is she is sleeping through the night, almost a full 12 hours like Laila used to. Not as many naps during the day, but it's no biggie. Laila continues to smother and love her so much. But is a really great big sis to her! She makes Emmie smile and laugh and is always so concerned about her. She tells me "Don't forget Emmie" if we are getting ready to go anywhere and she wants to do everything "Like Emmie does". They will for sure have a good sisterly bond.

Now we are entering the end of the year and all the craziness of holidays and birthdays. I'll try keeping up with the blogging thing, but it's a lot harder to sit with two. Looking forward to lots to come...

2 months.

Emmie is giving us more smiles everyday. Her motor skills are getting much better. She is always on the move and is pushing her legs against you when you hold her. I think she will be crawling early. She can pretty much hold her head up on her own. The other night we finally put her in her own room in the hopes I can get more sleep. The first 2 nights she slept through the night with no feedings. I was a happy mama! She has been a little fussier the past couple nights but she will adjust eventually. I was looking back at pictures when she was a week old and oh my goodness she lost a lot of hair. She has her "alpha alpha" in the back top of her head still. It sticks up and is about an inch of hair. It's too cute!

Emms had her 2 month check up at the doctor yesterday and she is going through a total growth spurt. She's now 10 lbs 12 oz. and 23 inches long. In the 90th percentile now! I'm so glad she is packing on the pounds and getting some little rolls here and there. She already seems pretty advanced like Laila was. Already growing up too too fast.
