2 months.

Emmie is giving us more smiles everyday. Her motor skills are getting much better. She is always on the move and is pushing her legs against you when you hold her. I think she will be crawling early. She can pretty much hold her head up on her own. The other night we finally put her in her own room in the hopes I can get more sleep. The first 2 nights she slept through the night with no feedings. I was a happy mama! She has been a little fussier the past couple nights but she will adjust eventually. I was looking back at pictures when she was a week old and oh my goodness she lost a lot of hair. She has her "alpha alpha" in the back top of her head still. It sticks up and is about an inch of hair. It's too cute!

Emms had her 2 month check up at the doctor yesterday and she is going through a total growth spurt. She's now 10 lbs 12 oz. and 23 inches long. In the 90th percentile now! I'm so glad she is packing on the pounds and getting some little rolls here and there. She already seems pretty advanced like Laila was. Already growing up too too fast.

Little Fish.

Last year Laila had private swim lessons and remembers a lot of the stuff. We wanted to continue this year but went with Seal Swim School so she can be with a group and around other kids. Her first class was Saturday. Her teacher Mr. Dustin was out sick, so she ended up working with Mr. Keith that day, one on one. She was screaming at first, but she seemed to warm up to Mr. Keith. I love watching her interact with her teacher. Made me realize how fast she is growing up. We have lessons 3 times a week for the entire month of July. Hoping by the end of this month she will be doing some laps around the pool. ha!

{Lunch before swim}

{no! no! no!}

{this is fun!}

The 4th.

I always enjoy 4OJ. Poolside, BBQ's, fireworks, sparklers, and whipper snappers. We had a long weekend of festivities. Here are some pics of the girls (and one of me) from our busy weekend.

Oh Miss Emmie...

You are already 6 weeks young.
You bring me sleepless nights and broken sleep.
You are a little hungry monster.
You are getting so strong and lifting your head on your own.
You are finally packing on the pounds and growing out of newborn clothes and diapers.
You give full sweet smiles.
You love to be snuggled in people's arms.
You love tummy time.
You are so worth every minute.
