Goodbye Summer!

The summer season has officially come to a close (I'm a little behind). And I welcome fall with open arms! Even though us Floridians don't feel much of the season changes, this fall day started out pretty nice. It was beautiful outside. We spent the last weeks of summer outside in the sunshine. We went to the St. Pete Pier and downtown area with GiGi and Aunt Nin and also went out on Gramma Et and Papa Guy's boat. As much as I love summer I'm looking forward to the cool fall days.

We have a secret...

I am known for not having too much patience, so now is the time to let you all in on our secret we have been keeping for a couple weeks now. A little Geraci is on the way. Laila is going to be a BIG SISTER at the end of May. From the calculations a day before our 5 year wedding anniversary. We are beyond excited! The anticipation of waiting for the new one to arrive and finding out what we are having, getting nursery ideas and ideas for Laila's big girl room together, and of course a whole lot of shopping. Oh vey, I'm in trouble...

We had this shirt made to tell our family. This is a famous quote in our household thanks to Daddy...

First Day of Swimmy School!

Summertime may be coming to an end but after waiting many months, Jen and I finally decided to give the girls some swimming lessons. We want them to learn survival god forbid they fell in. I mean we do live in Florida...there is water all around us, and you hear about kids drowning all the time. You can't be safe enough.

Miss Maureen came to the house and taught the basics for the first day. We have lessons everyday for the next 2 weeks. The girls learning "reach and pull", "airplane", "jump for joy", "monkey crawl", "bubbles" and "kick, kick, kick". It was actually really fun for me too! I can't wait to see the changes 2 weeks brings. After this stage, next year we will go onto the next step of lessons. I'm super stoked! I'll keep posting as days go by, as they learn new techniques.

Work it!

Laila had her first gymnastics tot spot class today. So we put on her stretchy pants, bright tank, and oh i forgot the headband and leg warmers. ha! We went with Jen and Lianna. It was so much fun Laila didn't want to leave. I tried getting her on everything but she seemed a little overwhelmed and unsure. Trampolines, blow up bouncer...didn't go over so well. She mostly stuck to the stuff that kept her close to the ground. She loved bubble time the best.
Laila is one tough cookie (you can kinda see her giant scratch scab above her lip in the pics). She has been one hot mess these past couple days. I think she has had like a scratch a day that leaves a mark. ha! This is such a fun age! Looking forward to many more gym days :).
