4 months!

Every month gets better and better. Laila is doing good with her spoon feeding and is for the most part sleeping through the night. She is so good! We can't thank God enough for this blessing he gave to us. I am already planning her 1 year bash...God knows it will be here before we know it. Happy 4 months bubs!

happy 3 years hubs.

These past 3 years have flown by. We have been through many obstacles. We opened a business, been on many adventures, and added a new addition to our family. Last year at this time I was telling Jason we were expecting. We feel like our lives have just begun and are in for a long amazing ride! Cheers to many, many more years of happiness and bliss! Happy Anniversary J!

little weed.

Gosh! Where do I begin on how much Laila has grown. We had our check up today and she is now 16 pounds and 26 inches long! She is such a little chunk and I absolutely love it. I can kiss those cheeks all day long. We are almost ready for the Britax carseat and no more travel system. We had her first spoon feeding today with a little bit of rice cereal and she did so well. Didn't really seem to understand what we were doing, but as the days go by she will get the hang of it and be feeding herself. All day long it's smiles and giggles! All she wants to do is stand. She locks her legs up when I try to sit her down. She is going to be walking in no time. She already has the concept down of moving one foot then the next. ::sigh:: time flies.

poor bubs.

Laila has her first official cold. It seemed like something wasn't right the past couple days. She has had me up in the middle of the night, sometimes more than once. Yesterday she got a flemmy like cough that didn't sound to great. I set up the humidifier, pulled out the saline drops and tylenol. She is still all smiles so I know she isn't feeling too bad. This is when I go into full worry mom mode. I was paranoid she couldn't breathe and I just wanted to watch her all night. I practically slept with the monitor and I kept turning on the video night vision to make sure she was moving. Today, she seems ok. Just sleepy from the tylenol. She just slighty woke up and started that whiney cry like she doesn't feel good and fell right back to sleep. It just breaks my heart. I would be sick for her in a heartbeat. Oh, this is just the beginning of the many nights when she will come to our room in the middle of the night and tell us she doesn't feel good. She changes each day, and I am so crazingly smitten over her! Feel better sunshine.

happy 1st mommy's day to me.

I couldn't of asked for a better first mother's day. We got to spend the entire weekend celebrating. On Saturday we enjoyed hanging out by the pool at Jason's parents, then Sunday we met at my parents for brunch. I look at Laila everyday and just thank her for making me a mommy. It's still so surreal to me and I am looking forward to many more. Thanks Laila bean for making me the proudest mother ever!

a day in the life.

6:30-7:00 a.m.:
Mommy gets up bright and early to feed me. She loves waking up to my smiles and gets ready to spend the day with me. She loves her Little Who.

8:00-8:30 a.m.:
Mommy puts me in my jumper so she can get some things done around the house.

11:00-12:00 pm:
I love to play in my room on the floor and watch the fan and listen to music. Mommy usually tries to put me down for a little nap at this time.

2:00-4:00 pm:
I love the bloomies mommy and grandma made for me! I enjoy watching mommy do arts and crafts throughout the day. She knows I will appreciate it when I get older.

5:30-6:00 pm:
I have tummy time everyday to make me strong.

7:30-8:00 pm:
Mommy gives me a bath every night (and sometimes in the a.m. too!) before daddy gets home so I am nice and fresh. I love the J&J Lavender Bath because it helps me sleep.

8:30-9:00 pm:
I really don't take long naps during the day. Just little "cat naps", that's what mommy calls them. So after a long day I am pooped!
Of course I am always hungry throughout the day. I eat usually every 3-4 hours! Now that I sleep good through the night I want more during the day. I love my life and everyone in it!

stay at home ma.

Being a stay at home mom isn't as easy as it looks. It is the best job in the world but you don't get paid for it, but if your anything like me...you tend to spend some money. I was a shopaholic before I had a daughter, and now it has gotten worse! You tend to have a lot of time on your hands. So always off to the mall I go. Well, to keep myself busy and sane I have a million projects I am trying to work on. Now that little bean is growing it's getting a little easier to get things done. I put her in her bumbo or jumper and let her entertain herself. My back bedroom is a disaster area. I am scrapbooking like crazy and learning to quilt thanks to my grandma and mom. A couple weeks back we went to the quilt shop to pick out Laila's latest quilt. Fabrics galore! I have started working on some smarty pants to add to Laila's collection of bloomies. It is just too much fun! I have been making headbands to make Laila's head fashionable since she has barely any hair. Oh! and photography classes here I come. yay!!!

Ever since I was a little girl I was always imaginative and creative. I would love to carry the talent on to Laila when she gets older. Having a child really puts things in perspective. I know she will look up to us with everything we do and hey...Anything to keep me busy eh?!

finishing product to come!

busch gardens.

While dada went to work and played golf today, Laila and I spent the day with the girls (and Landon). Aunt Nin, GiGi, Grandma, Kaitlyn, and Landon met up with us at Busch Gardens. We saw a ton of animals, had lunch at the colony, and just enjoyed the beautiful weather. Laila just had tubby time and is exhausted. She can't even keep her bitty eyes opened. We had a fabulous day!
